The big news last week in the Rose City, was the official bid Merritt Paulson (son of U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson) delivered to Major League Soccer headquarters to elevate the Portland Timbers into Americas top division by 2011.
Unfortunately to the disappointment of the Timbers Army faithful just after this announcement took place the message board over at Soccer City USA went down. This left the soccer nerds of Portland in a deep depression for nearly a week. Now it looks like everything is back to buisness as usual on that very active site.
In other news, Joe Six-Pack is mad at Joe The Plumber.

I watched the MLS Extratime and did some snooping about the competition. I blogged about it for the Portland Mercury I did my best to fill the void nevets. I DID MY BEST!!
